Getting the Hang of Things

Maybe next week I'll finally have things down... It was a good but difficult week. I needed to run many errands to pay lab fees, buy books and supplies, and try to use libraries in order to get homework done. But I ran into so many gliches because I couldn't find places, books hadn't been ordered yet, you couldn't pay that lab fee until tomorrow at some obscure hour, or the library doesn't open until I'm in class which makes total sense... very frustrating. But I'm almost done tracking down everything I need. So I'm hoping next week is finally routine and what school will be like on a normal week.

On the other hand, Cody and I are really enjoying our time here. Things keep getting better and better as we figure more things out, discover more fun places, and get to know our new friends. We have some exciting plans in the making. As I think Cody mentioned previously, we've decided to celebrate Thanksgiving with Megan, Brie, and Carmel. We've been planning a shopping trip and preparing recipes to spend a day making a great meal and having fellowship together to celebrate a great holiday that is not celebrated in Italy. But in the nearer future, this weekend we plan to host the first of, I hope many, movie nights. We found microwave popcorn and we've invited the girls over to watch the Proposal. Fitting, as Megan is from Sitca and we are eager to learn which parts of the movie actually take place in her hometown. We also hope to visit her someday because Alaska sounds amazing! Saturday night we are really excited to join them again to attend Mass in English at the Duomo! Yeah church finally!

We had a great time celebrating our 1 month anniversary this week! I prepared Chicken Parmesan to be ready by the time Cody got back from class and he bought me a rose and surprised me with some really amazing Tiramisu! We had a great time reminiscing and enjoying good food!

Sorry it took so long to post new info this week. It's been super crazy as you've read and I've experienced a bit of computer trouble, but no worries. So make sure you note that there are 2 new posts beneath this one. This is kind of random but I wanted to just make sure I finally answered a question many of you had. Back when we got here Cody was missing some luggage and I forgot to mention here that it came on a later flight that day and we were able to pick it up that same evening. No problem. Because I know you've all been worried sick about that for the past three weeks straight. Fear not!! All is well. :D It's hard for us to find internet over the weekends so until next week! Buon Giornata! (have a nice day!)
